Speaking of Hawaii's laws, according to a Detective of HPD Internal Affairs (no name for now: in fear of retaliation), he stated that the way the law is set up, if a person accuses another of a crime and there is no physical evidence to prove guilt, it really doesn't matter. As long as there is an "eyewitness", the alleged crime can be prosecuted and the alleged perpetrator may be convicted. It shows us, the law abiding citizens that we need to always be aware and watch our backs at all times or suffer the nightmare of an innocent man being sent to prison for a crime he did not commit.
